High-profile international strategic advisory firm seeks a bright, resourceful, and energetic individual for a research position to support its China practice. Applicants for the position should meet the following criteria:
Applicants must at a minimum have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with business-related research and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading and editing experience. This person must be well-organized, able to anticipate change, perform well under pressure, and familiar with current Northeast Asia-related political and business issues. This position is well-suited to individuals who recently completed a related graduate degree.
It is critical that the candidate is able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This individual must be a team player who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and adapts to demanding and fluid situations.
A record of professional or academic experience on-the-ground in China is required. The position requires professional-level proficiency in Chinese, both spoken and reading. The successful candidate will be able to research Chinese language internet sites, follow Chinese social media trends, and be capable of establishing and maintaining a network of contacts with Chinese companies and officials in Washington, D.C. The applicant must have authorization to work in the US.
