As a member of the Asia Team within the Global Intelligence Division, the incumbent will be relied upon by iJET and our clients as the subject matter expert for his/her region. The analyst will be expected to monitor real-time events in the region, identify and prioritize situations of potential concern to iJET clients, and draft well-written, timely, accurate, and relevant intelligence in the form of brief tactical alerts, situation reports, in-depth assessments, and periodic special reports. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to respond professionally to quick-turnaround client requests in writing and/or on the telephone, and may be called upon to conduct client-facing webinars and presentations. The incumbent will be a self-starter but good team player, who is composed under pressure, and possesses high quality written and verbal skills. 

This is a full-time position. Evening, overnight, and weekend shift work is required. 

 Essential Duties/Responsibilities:    

  • Subject matter expert for Asian geopolitics, security, transportation 
  • Monitors region for potential or active threats and disruptions
  • Drafts concise, accurate intelligence based on broad range of reliable human and electronic sources
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager

  Education/Experience:     

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred  
  • 3+ years’ experience in a related field 
  • Working knowledge of South Asia, highly desirable 
  • On-the-ground professional familiarity and travel experience

Requirements:    

  • Excellent information gathering and analytic skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills 
  • Excellent computer skills 
  • Effective time management and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks
  • GIS/Mapping (Geospatial Information System) skills preferred  
  • Must be available for shared, rotating shift work (nights, weekends and holidays)
  • Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment background check
