Position description


  • Conduct region-specific research for anti-corruption and financial crime initiatives
  • Gather information, report back, disseminate findings amongst GovRisk colleagues;
  • Work with Project Development Manager to prepare press releases for GovRisk programmes;
  • Research and write developmental reports;
  • Liaise closely with the team and provide proactive input on project delivery;
  • Ensure that programme files (electronic copy), are maintained within an agreed system to allow easy access by other staff;
  • Attend staff meetings if/when required;
  • Carry out other tasks which may reasonably be requested;


Essential requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (politics/international relations/development/law) OR in an unrelated but with evidence of a keen interest in the subject areas;
  • Excellent research, writing and editing skills;
  • Excellent word processing and Internet skills;
  • Initiative and a high degree of self-motivation;
  • A positive, problem-solving approach;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to juggle different demands and priorities;
  • Ability to work to deadlines;
  • Positive team-worker, supportive and helpful towards colleagues.

Desirable requirements: 

  • Monitoring and evaluation experience and/ or experience of writing impact reports would be very beneficial;
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline;
  • Experience of designing and executing an effective marketing campaign;
