The Vice President, Program Management and Compliance will play an integral role in the future of Plan International Canada in demonstrating the impact of our global development work. As a member of the executive management team (EMT), the Vice President Program Management and Compliance is expected to serve as a critical resource for problem solving, leadership and demonstration of impact at Plan International Canada ensuring program oversight and efficient operations. This includes influencing its strategic direction and bringing together teams to operationalize the strategic plan, deliver programs, and elevate the results achieved by field programs of Plan. The Vice President, Program Management and Compliance is expected to lead comfortably and capably and represent Plan International Canada well both internally and externally, nationally and internationally.
Leading a team of international development professionals (including four high performing Directors and their staff representing a total of approximately 60 staff including a combination of permanent, contract and consultants) both locally and field-based to ensure international programs are delivered on time, with high quality, in accordance to donor compliance requirements to demonstrate impact in over 30 countries around the world. This position oversees grant management and compliance capabilities primarily, focusing on the delivery of programs in the most remote areas of the world reaching the most marginalized and vulnerable populations aligned to Plan Canada’s new strategic goals including demonstration of impact, gender transformation, child rights and participation.
The incumbent is responsible for maintaining high standards of programmatic and financial compliance of all projects funded by Plan International Canada while ensuring all systems and processes are in place so that grants are well managed in line with Plan International Canada’s strategy to demonstrate impact.
