Position description

Radford University invites applications for the position of Instructor or Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science in the College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences. This is a nine-month, full-time temporary position beginning in August 2018. The teaching load for this position is five classes per semester. Primary responsibilities include teaching introductory courses in politics, international relations, and upper division classes as needed, likely in U.S. Foreign and Defense Policy, and Force in International Relations.

The College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences is housed in a newly constructed 145,000 square foot state-of the art instructional and research facility. Centrally located on the main quad of the campus it is the largest academic building at the university and houses an array of specialized teaching and research facilities. Radford University is a co-educational, comprehensive, state-supported institution located in southwestern Virginia, approximately 40 miles from Roanoke. Radford University is student-centered and focused on providing outstanding academic programs for its more than 9,500 students.
