Position description

MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB) is seeking qualified candidates to support a government customer in the planning, integration, and coordination of Strategic Assessments support of combatant commands and national operational  requirements. This effort supports synchronization of strategy and planning to integrate DoD Strategic Assessments resources to satisfy high priority combatant command (CCMD), DoD, and National requirements.

  • Identify and collect relevant and timely data, deviations, and waivers from operational HQ elements
  • Maintain and utilize various database, analytical, and visualization tools to support assessment execution
  • Conduct follow-up data collection through the development/distribution of surveys and questionnaires in order to determine rationale for identified issues
  • Produce reports and briefings to align findings with other ongoing assessment/ analysis efforts and/or disseminate assessment results
  • Conduct ad hoc nuclear, space, cyber, and IMD mission area assessments and focused, out of cycle campaign or strategic-level assessments, as required, on important, rapidly changing issues to support Commander and senior-leadership decision making
  • Perform and document assessment work requiring substantive knowledge of plans, operations, missions, policies, and objectives. Examples include, identification of military and strategic risks, vulnerabilities, and capability gaps; and shortfalls in doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ experience at the Combatant Command, Joint Staff, or DoD OSD levels developing Command responses for Senior-level decision documentation
  • At least 1 year experience staffing complex packages and adjudicating content. POL-MIL experience (3+ years) or advanced degree in International Relations or Comparative Politics strongly desired
  • This position requires Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance
