The Department of Political Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a part time, non-tenure-track lecturer (PhD required) or instructor (Master’s degree required) position in International Relations for the 2018-19 academic year. We seek candidates with broad training in International Relations who can offer an introductory course in International Relations as well as specialized courses in at least two of the following areas: Game Theory and International Relations, International Cooperation, International Law and Organization, International Security, American Foreign Policy, Conflict Studies. A commitment to excellence in teaching is essential. A Ph.D. degree or ABD in international relations is required.
This is a one academic-year appointment with a start date of August 16, 2018. The candidate will teach two courses in Fall 2018 and three in Spring 2019. Salary is commensurate with experience.
