The Los Angeles Times is dramatically expanding its national and international coverage in the coming months and is now seeking applications for several postings across the globe.
This correspondent position provides an opportunity for a world-class reporter to range across Europe, from the United Kingdom to Germany and beyond. We are flexible about where the position is based, although it should be in a major capital with good transit connections. London, Berlin and Brussels are all possibilities. The successful candidate will be equally skilled at writing fast, urgent breaking news, lyrical narrative features and in-depth analyses, and will be adept at basic news photography and videography. Fluency in at least one European language is preferred.
This job requires frequent travel, long hours and a strong work ethic. It is not an entry-level position, and applicants should have at least 10 years’ experience.
Qualified candidates are invited to send a cover letter, resume and links to clips to Mitchell Landsberg, interim foreign and national editor.
