Facebook is looking for a Public Policy Associate Manager to join our External Affairs team to support complex cross-functional projects covering a range of issues but primarily focused on community engagement. This person will work with cross-functional teams across Facebook, drive engagement efforts with third party organizations and build greater awareness with the public about our work. 
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, get-things-done professional who can function in a fast-moving environment, and rapidly earn credibility and trust with all levels of the organization. They are adept at understanding complex policy and challenges and passionate about the mission of Facebook. They are an expert communicator who is a true diplomat, deftly managing relationships both inside and outside of the company. 


  • Coordinate project management of partnerships with third parties to advance our third party engagement efforts

  • Coordinate project management aspects and the successful execution of complex, cross-functional efforts

  • Track progress to goals and metrics for key projects each quarter

  • Create collateral, organize events, draft communications to stakeholders and the public about our work

  • Build alignment among key project stakeholders and escalate decisions as required

  • Openness to travel domestically to key third party policy conferences and conventions


  • 4+ years of work experience in field of public policy and/or political communications

  • Experience with the public policy community, including think tanks, academics, policy advocates/activists, trade associations, and other NGOs

  • Experience working on political campaigns, in management consulting or similar strategic program management role for a technology or consumer company

  • Experience working in the federal legislative process and/or a state policy role

  • BA/BS degree in political science, sociology, international relations, marketing, gender studies or related field
