Amyx is seeking a Senior Planning Analyst and Action Officer to support the DTRA-JIDO Pentagon office located in Arlington, VA. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting senior leadership engagements at the strategic level. The Senior Planner for the JIDO Operations Division will provide Interagency and International coordination support work with the staffs of CCMDs and multinational partners, to facilitate effective relationships, policy and strategy expertise while providing the necessary strategic vision for the JIDO directorate/staff section and translating that vision into usable products for elevating situational awareness and understanding of senior members of JIDO and other stakeholders. This position will be supporting the JIDO Enterprise Acquisition Strategy Initiative (EASI) Mission Support Services (MSS) contract vehicle.

Responsibilities and Daily Tasks:

  • Serve as primary contractor support to the DTRA-JIDO Pentagon office.
  • Execute global mission focused requirement events, conference and appointments with Under Secretary for Acquisition and Sustainment, Joint Staff, DoD Services, COCOMs and the Director JRAC.
  • Facilitate the execution of JIDO Pentagon Mission for the Director, Vice Director, Director Mission Support, Director of Plans and Training, JIDO J3, JIDO J5 and Counter- small UAS team and working groups within Pentagon and National Capital Region.
  • Work with staffs of CCMDs and multinational partners to facilitate effective relationships, policy and strategy.
  • Prepare briefings, information papers, policies, strategies, as well as staff, task, brief and report products required to initiate, communicate and manage such work across a senior DoD-level staff, and when required to select representatives of foreign governments.
  • Evaluate, collate, and analyze information from a number of classified and unclassified sources to maintain situational awareness and understanding of the improvised threat, and counter threat networks that employ improvised threats.
  • Outreach coordination and relationships building with Joint Staff, Washington HQ Service and Pentagon Force Protection Agency.
  • Support to time sensitive deadlines and emergent requirements.
  • Interacts directly with the J3 during the development of operational assessments, point papers, briefings and other products for external distribution.
  • Evaluate, collate, and analyze information from a number of classified and unclassified sources to maintain situational awareness and understanding of the improvised threat, and counter threat networks that employ improvised threats.
  • Other duties as assigned by TPOC or government supervisor or necessary

Supported Technologies:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree required
  • Active TS/SCI Eligible Clearance required
  • 10 of years of U.S. Military experience (minimum) required
  • Expertise in Military Decision Making Process (MDMP)
  • Counter-IED Experience
  • Counter Improvised-Threat Experience (UAS) 

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance required
  • Master’s Degree or higher in National Security Studies, International Relations or Strategic Studies, preferred
  • Experience as a U.S. Army or U.S. Marine Staff Officer, preferred
