Would you like to make a significant difference for torture victims worldwide? And do you see yourself in an international political environment where we work as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team?
Welcome to the IRCT
The International Rehabilitation Centre for Torture Victims is a health-based non-governmental, non-profit umbrella organisation that supports the rehabilitation of torture victims and the prevention of torture worldwide. Our members comprise more than 160 independent organisations in over 70 countries. Our work is governed by these member organisations.
Today, we are the largest membership-based civil society organisation to work in the field of torture rehabilitation and prevention. The seat of the IRCT is in Copenhagen with a liaison office based in Brussels. The business language is English.
Play a key role in our future fundraising
Your primary task is to develop and implement our 3-year fundraising strategy to create a stronger, more diversified income base. Your good understanding of the global donor community and funding trends for NGO’s will help us explore new funding streams. You design, plan and implement strategic interventions with donors and relevant stakeholders as well as reach out to new donors and nurture the resulting relations. Part of your responsibility will be to produce compelling and targeted fundraising proposals and advise on donor requirements to ensure quality and compliance.
Moreover, you will support the production of a global resources report for the rehabilitation sector and the strengthening of fundraising capacities within the movement. This includes creating new methodologies for better support of the IRCT membership.
Be part of a global network
You will become part of our international team at IRCT’s office in Copenhagen. Here, you will collaborate closely with a small, ambitious team of 10 colleagues – people who are all passionate about working towards the eradication of torture worldwide. Moreover, you will work with the broad, global network within the IRCT membership and external partners. We offer a great office environment centrally located in Copenhagen, close to public transport, and a 37-hours work week (including lunch break).
With your strong problem-solving skills, you can show initiative and enjoy working independently. At the same time, you have excellent interpersonal skills. Your experience enables you to develop new fundraising possibilities, and you are still eager to learn more.
