Position description

Imperial College London is seeking to appoint a motivated individual to the temporary position of International Relations Office Assistant to help support the efficient operation of the International Relations Office (IRO). This is an important administrative support position here, where you will use your excellent communication skills to liaise with staff and students across the College. You should be enthusiastic, willing to learn, detail orientated, have strong communication skills and demonstrate an interest in international affairs. You should welcome change and be prepared to work flexibly across different areas of work.

As a member of a medium-sized team of 10-12 staff, you will be expected to undertake a wide range of administrative activities. The temporary position offers unique International Relations administration experience in the busy central office of one of the UK’s most international universities.

This role also offers the opportunity to develop an understanding of the international science and innovation landscape and how Imperial interacts with partner universities, governments, industry partners and NGOs across the globe

Duties and responsibilities

In this administrative support role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to routine correspondence by email, phone and mail
  • Assisting with financial administration
  • Monitoring and maintaining office resources
  • Coordinating and working with other teams across the College
  • Data entry and desk research
  • Supporting events and visits
  • Completing other routine administrative and clerical duties as and when required
