Thank you for your interest in this position.
Crisis Action is a pioneering organisation, launched in 2004 to enable civil society to respond more effectively to armed conflict. Crisis Action has a presence in Addis Ababa, Beirut, Berlin, Brussels, London, Nairobi, New York, Paris, Pretoria and Washington DC.
Crisis Action’s aim is to help prevent suffering caused by war, to change the calculations of decision makers and ensure the protection of civilians. We work behind the scenes to bring together diverse organisations and draw on their respective skills and capabilities to increase their impact. Our rationale is that focused advocacy by non-profits, think-tanks, faith groups and others is far more likely to succeed if it is done strategically and collectively.
We are looking for an exceptional, passionate and dynamic Head of People to help drive forward and enhance the impact and effectiveness of our work.
If you are that person, we look forward to receiving your application.
About Crisis Action
Crisis Action is an independent, non-profit organisation that works with others to ensure civilians are protected both from, and during, armed conflict. Crisis Action builds global campaigns designed to harness the unlimited power of coalitions to protect civilians in conflict.
To achieve this aim, Crisis Action works behind the scenes to catalyse, co-ordinate and support strategic coalition campaigns. Our work enables more effective joint advocacy and campaigning on conflict by our partners, who include Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, International Crisis Group, International Rescue Committee, Institute for Security Studies, Mercy Corps, Muslim Aid, Oxfam, World Vision and many others.
We aim to complement our partners’ existing work on conflict prevention, resolution and early warning by harnessing diverse strengths to increase their collective influence, so they have impact together that they could not have alone.
Since Crisis Action’s creation in 2004, we have paid close attention to creating and maintaining a unique organizational culture that reflects team-work, dynamism, ambition, impact, positivity, innovation, passion, political judgment and reliability.
Our latest annual report summarises Crisis Action's achievements during 2018. Earlier reports are also available online.
