Position description

The Washington Examiner is looking for an ambitious, determined and hard-charging reporter to join our Breaking News team. The successful candidate should be fearless and have a keen interest in how American politics works. You will be required to work swiftly and accurately under pressure, writing at least one story an hour and usually more. Speed is essential - some short stories need to be written within 10 minutes. You should have an excellent grasp of current politics, political history, popular culture. You should have a strong work ethic and be a team player - this job will involve some 7am starts in the newsroom, evening shifts and weekend work which are all part of this fast-paced job.
