Position description

The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a unique global network of policy research centers in Russia, China, Europe, the Middle East, India, and the United States, is seeking a Grants & Database Coordinator to work with its DC-based Development team. This position will support the Director of Development Operations and will work closely with the research programs to help meet fundraising goals. 

The Grants & Database Coordinator is a core Development role, supporting multiple aspects of securing and documenting funding, including maintaining grant procedures and records, assisting in the proposal, budgeting and reporting process, making or defining necessary improvements to the database to support associates who enter data, ensuring data quality, and developing strategy reports for the Development team. 

Successful candidates will possess at least two years of fundraising experience, preferably related to grants and database management, preferably Dynamics 365. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess superb writing and oral communications skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, proficiency with budgets, and strong interest in international affairs. Experience working with Word, Excel, and database software systems is required.
