Job Responsibilities:

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Builds and facilitating International Engagement Strategy and international partnerships; policy, strategy, planning and implementation.
  • Provides support on International Space Policy to include attaché-like engagement with nation-states, Intergovernmental organizations, alliances (e.g. NATO) and multi-national corporations.
  • Provides Interagency coordination and policy support with such agencies as OSTP, NSC, DoS, DoC, DoT, DHS, OSD, NRO, NASA, Army, Navy, Air Force, STRATCOM, AFSPC on various space-related topics.
  • Coordinates/supports SAF/IA in international negotiations and MOU development and implementation.
  • Provides technical support to the Defense Space Council, as required.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • US Citizen
  • Active DOD TS/SCI clearance
  • Graduate degree in International Affairs or National Strategy.
  • 20+ years combination of experience involving military operations or national security activities, space operations or space acquisitions and Defense Attaché, Office of Defense Cooperation, or similar senior-level experience gained abroad through DoS or other USG agencies.
  • Extensive experience dealing with foreign military senior leaders, senior foreign governmental decision-makers and staffs and foreign corporate executives.
  • Senior staff, writing, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong public speaking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in relevant field.
  • SAASS graduate or equivalent.
  • Recent work experience with National Security Space (DoD or IC) community
  • Recent experience supporting varied short-notice, high-visibility studies and assessments meetings, and integrated product teams
  • Experience facilitating IPTs by collecting stakeholder inputs and resolving/scoring critical recommendations
  • Recent work experience with National Security Space (DoD or IC) community
