The George Washington University (GWU) International Services Office (ISO) is searching for a detailed oriented International Services Assistant with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced office environment. This position provides customer service to visitors and manages the prospective student relationship after admission through the arrival stage. The core responsibilities of this role are typically to answer routine inquiries over the phone, online, and in person, to provide information to prospective and admitted students on admission requirements, to process and track new international applicant submissions (and review for completeness), to maintain data in systems. This position may also recruit for and schedule interviews, order catering, process payments and provide general admissions support.
The International Services Office (ISO) at the George Washington University facilitates international educational exchange through its services and programs. It serves as the primary administrative, programming, and advising office for the GW international community. The position is based at GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus in Washington, DC. The incumbent may perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 1.5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
