The Mercatus Center at George Mason University is seeking a Research Fellow to join our Innovation and Governance Program for a one-year fellowship. In this role, you will help inform the evolution of financial services by providing thoughtful research and commentary on the use and regulation of Decentralized finance (DeFi) products and services. The successful applicant will have knowledge of and a deep interest in the operation, role, and implications of DeFi. Advanced education in relevant fields such as law, economics, finance, or computer science is a plus. The successful applicant will work as part of the Mercatus Policy Research Team, and report to the Director of the Innovation and Governance Program.
The fellowship will last for one year and may, but is not guaranteed to, result in an extension or permanent position.

Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with experience.
