International Cooperation Analyst

Key Role:

Plan, organize, and coordinate security cooperation activities in support of a service–level headquarters. Assist with coordinating the development, preparation, and execution of events and activities concerning Coalition Warfare Program (CWP), Standardization Agreements (STANAGs), and Service–Level and OSD–led bi–lateral and multilateral engagements to support international partnership development. Manage and provide recommendations to CWP and coordinate with project teams to prepare, review, and finalize project proposals and all required documentation. Manage and provide recommendations to the coordination process for STANAGs and analyze outcomes of the ratification process and multinational force compatibility S&T and RDT&E activities for their scientific and technical merit in terms of achieving US, allied, and coalition partners S&T and RDT&E capacity development and interoperability. Provide support to the NATO Desk Officer and coordinate on activities concerning the Five Power Senior National Representatives programs of work. Assist with conducting studies and analysis on policies, procedures, and technical assistance agreements governing international agreements. Ensure direct involvement in relevant Armaments Cooperation and International activities occurring within the research and development community by providing representation on behalf of the client. This position is located in the Arlington, VA.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience in working with Senior Leaders at SES and GO level in a DoD environment, including science and technology, acquisition, security cooperation, or military
-2+ years of experience in working with a DoD Laboratory or Program Executive Office (PEO)
-Experience with working in cross–cultural environments
-Ability to work in a fast–paced, diverse environment
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the US Army
-Knowledge of security cooperation policies and procedures
-Knowledge of Service Headquarters roles and responsibilities
-Ability to pay strict attention to detail
-Possession of excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communications skills
-BA or BS degree in Engineering, International Affairs, International Relations, Political Science, or Government preferred; MA or MS degree a plus
