Position description

Provide support in the implementation of the missions strategy for Samaritan’s Feet International and coordinate work related to missions and personal/volunteers’ involvement in the organization.

As the Missions Coordinator, you will be a key player in strategizing and executing the overall vision of Samaritan’s Feet mission programs. This role will drive the organization’s mission trips to inspire and impact the lives of the vulnerable through mission trips. With a high degree of energy and excellent leadership, administrative and team-building skills, the Missions Coordinator will serve as a key-resource for mission teams and communicate all relevant information and will provide follow-ups and updates regarding the missions. You will also plan, coordinate, and streamline the logistics of volunteers while on all missions as well as collect and maintain all mission relevant documentation. 

Missions Responsibilities Include:

  • Envision value-adding programs to further the vision of Samarian’s Feet
  • and its domestic and global mission endeavors that will also benefit individuals
  • and groups.   
  • Develop a system of in-country host relationships that will develop
  • mutual partnerships through ongoing mission connections. 
  • Collaborate with in-country partners/hosts to build 15-20 individual
  • mission trip itineraries annually.
  • Maintain existing as well as cultivate new relationships with mission
  • participants.
  • Oversee the mission trip process and experience to ensure excellence, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Follow and monitor international travel regulations.
  • Prepare P&L for each mission trip.
  • Collaborate and assist in details pertaining to coordination of international (and domestic) mission trips, including but not limited to team leader training, administrative paperwork, and itinerary coordination both of team members and mission partners.
  • Coordinate with finance team for finance tracking/reporting of fundraising pages for mission members, and streamline the process for team member payments, accounts receivable and payable for accurate and up to date financials.
  • Review of weekly, monthly, and quarterly international checklist.
  • Provide research and strategic insight on opportunities to minimize expenses and advance international Shoes of Hope distributions in diļ¬€erent countries.
  • Recruit and mobilize volunteers for international Shoes of Hope distributions.
  • Assist in training of team leaders and relationship development of team leaders.
  • Serves as a team leader on 2-3 international Shoes of Hope distributions per year.
  • Assist in developing a mobilization strategy to grow mission’s engagement.
  • Provide a strong knowledge of the international Shoes of Hope Distribution process from start to finish.
  • Assist in providing background stories, video, pictures to marketing team for quarterly Newsletter.

Community Engagement Duties Include:

  • Assist with engagement, attendance, and speaking opportunities in various community programs like schools, churches, chamber meetings, lions and rotary clubs, women’s organizations, missions and volunteer conferences, and international events.
  • Strategically seek speaking engagements to increase community involvement within Samaritan’s Feet.

Depending on qualifications, position may be a hybrid.

Samaritan’s Feet International currently offers the following benefits to its employees.

  • PAID TIME OFF (PTO) – Employees accrue PTO at a rate of five (5) hours every pay period (24 pay periods) following the completion of the first ninety (90) days of employment. UTO (Unpaid Time Off) can be used in the first 6 months if unavoidable or specifically approved prior to employment. All PTO must be taken during the calendar year in which it is earned.
  • 10 Paid Holidays Per Year – Please refer to your Employee Handbook or the Insperity Portal.
  • 1 Remote Day Per Week - You are allowed 1 remote workday per week which must be communicated/approved with your managing director.
  • EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT FOR SAMARITAN’S FEET MISSION TRIPS: Employees who wish to participate in Samaritan’s Feet mission trips will receive a 25% discount off the base cost of the trip. As an added benefit, the employee is not required to use their PTO to go on a trip. One trip per calendar year.
  • Health Insurance: Samaritan’s Feet International provides medical coverage through Insperity. The company pays for one half of the monthly premium for employees only. All other family members’ premiums are paid 100% by the employee.
  • Health Savings Account: Available only on select health insurance plan that you select. Depending on the Option of Health Insurance you selected, you may be able to Enroll in Health Savings Account or Health Care Flex Spending.
  • Dental Insurance: Optional – coverage is through Insperity and premiums are paid 100% by employee.
  • Vision Insurance: Optional – coverage is through Insperity and premiums are paid 100% by employee.
  • Short- and Long-Term Disability: All full-time and eligible employees are covered in Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability and are paid for by Samaritan’s Feet International.
  • Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D): Insurance policies paid for by Samaritan’s Feet International. *NOTE: Employee must Enroll in this Benefit and name a Beneficiary.
