  • Draft and contribute to reports, issue briefs, and op-eds analyzing industrial policy trends, trade measures, and geopolitical implications.
  • Together with the Director, manage the work of the industrial policy pillar on a day-to-day basis, including ensuring the timely and quality execution of research projects and engagement plans.
  • Develop and present policy recommendations, ensuring that industrial and trade policy supports climate objectives, and help coordinate their public and private dissemination.
  • Identify opportunities for private and public events on relevant and timely topics, including being a regular speaker or host of these events.
  • Organize high-level dialogues, informal roundtables, and forums with policymakers, industry leaders, and civil society representatives, including all organizational and logistical aspects.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders in governments, industries, consultancies, and civil society.
  • Support fundraising efforts, including proposal writing and donor engagement.
  • Engage in other duties as assigned.

  • Strong understanding of China’s industrial policies, particularly in clean technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with U.S. and EU policies related to industrial strategy, trade, and climate action.
  • Proven ability to conduct high-quality policy research and translate complex issues into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience publishing in policy journals, media outlets, or think tank reports.
  • Strong networks in the industrial policy, trade, and climate policy communities.
