Position description

As the Northeast Recruitment Manager, you have a highly dynamic role and serve as a key member of the Recruitment Team – the team that is the face of Global Glimpse to our most important stakeholders, our students. You hold relationships with our students, families, educators, partner schools, and organizations in the Northeast, specifically New York City, Western Massachusetts, and the surrounding areas. In addition to growing your regional portfolio and hitting student recruitment and revenue goals, you also work to hit organization demographic targets and maintain high-quality programming. Reporting to the Director of Recruitment, you will sit on the programs team and the Recruitment subteam.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY FOR IMPACT:

Regional Program Management

  • Manage a portfolio of schools and youth serving organizations with the goal of hitting recruitment metrics and retaining strong partnerships through relationship building, communication, and information sessions
  • Maintain school and organizational partners in New York City and Massachusetts with the aim of deepening partnerships and increasing enrollment
  • Manage stakeholder communication and experience within your portfolio, including supporting students and GG Leaders during travel
  • Execute on pre and post trip programs (including Alumni Ambassador program) ensuring regional stakeholders are prepared for travel by supporting student travel logistics leading up to, during, and after travel
  • Work closely with the Student Trips Team to update and align pre/post trip curriculum with trip curriculum
  • Deliver on annual program quality metrics (volunteer educator retention rate, student pre-trip preparation, etc.)
  • Support with curriculum design, material creation, and program quality
  • Serve as a member of 24/7 incident response team during student trips which could include supporting field staff, calling students and families, and support group travel
  • With the rest of the stakeholder facing recruitment team, gather content for organizational marketing and staff inspiration

Regional Budget Ownership & Revenue Generation

  • Work with the Director of Recruitment to set regional annual earned revenue targets with a focus on financial sustainability and increasing the annual avg. fee per student
  • Manage and stay within the regional expense budget to ensure financial sustainability.

Flagship Program Regional Demographic Ownership

  • Work with Director of Recruitment to set regional annual targets related to traveler/stakeholder demographics with the aim of keeping Global Glimpse the premier organization for diverse student groups
    • Actively work to close gap in any regional demographic shortcomings
    • Ensure diversity of student groups whenever possible

Business Developement

  • Actively seeking new partnerships with the aim of growing regional portfolios and increasing the avg. student fee

 

Qualifications

  • Prior Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in non profit work, operations, US or international program management, travel logistics, or education abroad.
  • Proven experience with program and partner management
  • Youth development and/or education experience preferred
  • Work Demands
    • Willing to work occasional weekend or evening work hours during the school year
  • Flexibility to support emergency response efforts, including evening and weekend availability when students are on trips
  • Skills aligned to critical competencies.
    • Skilled relationship builder and communicator
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to juggle multiple priorities at once
    • Ability to a balance business savvy while staying mission driven
    • Spanish fluency or proficiency preferred
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Graduate degree is encouraged, especially if it is related to the field (non-profit management, international relations etc.)

POSITION LOGISTICS

  • Location: Regional Remote (Home Office in Massachusetts, New York City, or Connecticut)
  • Travel Expectations: 2-5 times a year annually for team retreats and/or other program events
  • Compensation: Starting Salary range: $70,000-$83,000
