The Department of Political Science at the University of Iowa invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor with a focus on teaching classes on comparative politics and social media. The Department welcomes applications from candidates in the subfield of Comparative Politics. Candidates must be able to teach introductory courses on comparative politics, social media and politics, and European politics. The department requires that a candidate have received their MA or PhD at the time of application, has preference for candidates that have experience working with our learning management system, ICON, and has a preference for candidates that have experience teaching undergraduate students.
The position will begin on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, three working days prior to the start of the fall 2025 semester.
