We believe in the power of foresight. We analyze trends, gather insights, and leverage our expertise to anticipate potential obstacles. We turn challenges into opportunities and prepare for the future. We’re seeking a Senior Analyst to anchor project delivery within our Global Economic Governance practice on a contract, commission-driven basis. This role is ideal for consultants who thrive on ownership—turning complex regulatory and geopolitical signals into decision-grade guidance while sharing in the value they help create. Clients rely on clear, actionable analysis across tariffs, export controls, sanctions, and broader policy shifts. As a contract Senior Analyst, you directly influence both client outcomes and your earnings through the quality of your insights and your role in business growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Monitoring Tariff and Export-Control Regulations: Closely track global legislative developments related to tariffs and export controls, and conduct in-depth analyses of how regulatory changes may affect different industries and companies.
2. Geopolitical Risk Analysis: Continuously monitor geopolitical flashpoints, especially factors that could trigger technology decoupling or escalate trade frictions. Study political relations among countries and regions, conflicts of economic interest, and policy orientations to accurately assess their impact on international trade patterns and the global economic outlook. Analyze issues such as rising trade barriers and supply-chain disruptions.
3. Industry Research and Report Writing: Conduct in-depth economic and trade research on specific industries based on client needs, identifying sector-specific opportunities and challenges. Produce targeted, forward-looking research reports that integrate tariff and export-control frameworks with geopolitical risk factors.
4. Client Advisory and Service: Develop a deep understanding of clients’ business needs and priorities. Provide professional advisory services and address client questions regarding tariffs, export controls, and geopolitical risks.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in economics, trade, international relations, finance, or a related field, with a solid theoretical foundation.
2. Experience: 5+ years of experience in economic/trade research, consulting, or related fields; familiarity with international trade rules and procedures. Experience handling tariff and export-control matters is preferred.
3. Competencies: Strong policy-analysis skills; ability to identify and analyze industry hot topics; ability to interpret weak signals; extensive professional network; excellent report-writing skills.
This is predominantly a remote work opportunity: familiarity with teleworking software is desirable but not required.
