Are you passionate about making a difference in the global neuroscience community? The International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) is looking for a Communications Coordinator (CC) to support the strategic planning and implementation of communications actions to reinforce IBRO’s strong brand and growing visibility.
Who We Are:
IBRO is a global nonprofit association representing over 90 neuroscience organizations. We are dedicated to advancing neuroscience research worldwide, supporting scientists through education, training, and international programs. As a leader in the field, we manage an annual budget of ~$4.5 million USD, investing in a more diverse and inclusive future for brain research.
Your Role:
As our new CC, you’ll play a crucial role in amplifying IBRO’s impact by:
- Coordinating IBRO’s strategic communications and brand;
- Managing our website and online communications, coordinating the production of IBRO’s annual report, impact stories and newsletter;
- Developing online campaigns and producing IBRO’s regular webinar series;
- Supporting visibility for IBRO’s actions and programs through coordination with colleagues, external suppliers and other stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring:
We’re seeking someone with:
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)—a must for all communications;
- Experience in a nonprofit environment, or a keen interest in IBRO’s mission;
- Experience with website management and production of targeted, imaginative communications tools;
- Good understanding of campaign planning and project management;
- A self-driven approach, with the ability to work independently as required and to collaborate effectively within a small team.
