Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conducting comprehensive counterintelligence inquiries according to legal status, IC and DoD policies and procedures.
Identifying, evaluating, performing, and reporting on threats to agency equities using extensive knowledge of agency, IC and DoD policies and directives.
Safeguarding all case files and writing detailed reports and referrals to appropriate government agencies.
Providing investigative support for espionage damage assessments.
Conducting CI assessments and referrals of personnel for IC indicators and for CI incidents as appropriate, to include FBI 811 referrals. These duties include a comprehensive review of personnel records to validate or invalidate assertion of CI indicators; assessing and documenting CI vulnerabilities associated with agency personnel; identifying CI concerns and possible mitigations within SEAD-4 National Security Adjudicative Guidelines; and conducing CI case support for federal investigative agencies.
Managing and preparing detailed reports, based on existing investigative documentation, existing electronic databases of foreign intelligence contact information, and other CI inquiries and assessments.
Routinely briefing and providing investigative leads to the GTM as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in foreign area studies, International Relations, security studies, History, Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice, Space Systems, or Political Science and 10+ years of relevant experience with Intelligence and/or Counterintelligence; In lieu of a Bachelor’s: Associates’ degree and 15+ years of relevant experience with Intelligence and/or Counterintelligence.
Successful completion of a state or federal/military law enforcement academy or counterintelligence academy/formal training curriculum.
Interviewing, elicitation, and/or interrogation experience per the applicable level stated in the table below.
Completion of a formal state or federal training program in relevant field
Experience interacting with agencies across the DoD and IC.
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge, familiarity, and/or training in adjudicative guidelines outlined in ICD 704.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
