The Global P&C Partner is a core team member of the P&C Division supporting different teams globally. Working with the Global P&C Manager, the Global P&C Partner will take a leading role in capacity building, supporting and strengthening Trócaire by delivering innovative human resources best practice through recognised standards of excellence and by providing strong and responsive support to managers for effective people management. This role is supporting teams and managers distributed in different Trócaire offices across the world with the ability to adapt and shift the support from team to team based on the need. The role will respond to different operational and strategic demands of these teams and deliver a number of key strategic initiatives from the Trócaire People Strategy including projects related to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), Talent Management, Wellbeing and Employee Engagement.
The role will report to the Global P&C Manager and work within a team of People & Culture professionals. The role can be based in our office in Maynooth, Co. Kildare or Belfast.
12 month contract initially - with a potential extension depending on operational requirements.
Key responsibilities
Organisational Development in EDI work practices:
- Drive, influence, guide and support the people aspects of organisational change in EDI and development in line with the Strategic Plan, People Strategy and Divisional plans.
- Provide ongoing professional guidance, coaching and support to management, as part of a continuous development programme that builds and grows their capacity to effectively manage people, deliver culture change and high performance.
Talent Management:
- Working with the rest of the P&C Team, ensure first class recruitment and selection practices are delivered. Support the development of new and innovative recruitment strategies that incorporate diversity and inclusive behaviours, maximise competitive reach and ensure delivery to meet business plans.
- Ensure continual focus on the employee experience to build and maintain engagement and retention.
- Develop and deliver talent management strategies for client groups.
- Proactively support the annual and quarterly salary and headcount budgeting and forecasting process.
- Collaborate with Learning and Development, to identify individual and organisational development needs and design interventions that facilitate achievement of operational objectives.
Performance Management:
- Drive and embed a high-performance management culture as a means of driving business improvement, through coaching the management team, and working with managers and employees to swiftly resolve individual performance/capability issues using appropriate tools.
Employee Engagement:
- Support country management teams in the employee engagement process and offer advice and on the necessary action plans and seek to continually improve work practices, to meet changing organisation needs.
Qualifications
Skills
- The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with management teams, P&C colleagues and employees with excellent Communication, Influencing, Coaching & Negotiation Skills.
- Project management and time management skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with particular attention to detail.
- Excellent ICT, analytical, statistical and report writing skills.
- Ability to lead and drive work on own initiative and to contribute as part of a team.
Experience
- 3-5 years relevant experience within a HR Business Partner role, with significant experience of managing and delivering on all HR processes.
- Demonstrated experience of developing and delivering on HR strategy in line with business needs and managing organisational change processes.
- Experience in successfully managing employee relations issues.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting employment legislation, policies and agreements into workable solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring and developing HR team members.
- Demonstrable track record in EDI work practices.
Qualifications
- Relevant third level qualification in HR, Business or related discipline.
- CIPD member.
