JOB OVERVIEW

The Associate Director, Global Portfolio Management is responsible for oversight of business initiatives related to the Financial Institution Services portfolio, ensuring they meet or exceed targets for new business development and account performance. The incumbent in this position drives execution of a multi-year business strategy that delivers Water.orgs unique value within enterprise finance partnerships and alliances.

JOB- SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

Business Development

Works collaboratively to develop and implement strategies and tactics related to securing a robust base of partnerships. Develops timely impact projections and provides complete, accurate internal reporting on opportunity pipelines and related activities. Leads development of funding proposals to secure resources for mission-critical projects and initiatives.

Portfolio Operations

Oversees strategic account planning and global portfolio management, ensuring burn rate and portfolio forecasts are managed within organizational guidelines. Drives execution of the business strategy and annual operating goals metrics, fostering effective operational integration and coordination across regions.

Service Delivery + Technical Support

Oversees execution of partner service delivery, meeting established targets for timelines and cost. Monitors policy and regulatory developments and market trends relevant to the portfolios areas of focus includingfinancial institutions serving housing finance and MSME marketsto conduct analysis and provide recommendations for impact opportunities to leadership.

Stakeholder Engagement + Representation

Represents business interests to promote our mission and drive additional resources to advance strategic and business objectives. Effectively engages and interacts with individuals or groups representing diverse backgrounds, interests, and points of views.

Talent Management

Qualifications

      • Bachelors degree in business administration /or related field.
      • Fifteen or more years years of progressive front-line experience with enterprise finance partnerships, with a demonstrated record of achievement leading partnership strategies and elevating account performance.
      • Minimum four years of managerial or supervisory experience managing mid- to senior-level positions regionally.
      • Deep knowledge of financial services for development, particularly inmicrofinance, affordable housing finance, or MSME banking,including experience inportfolio development, financial products, or credit.
      • Experience inimpact investing or wholesale finance may be an added advantage,but the role is not focused on core impact investment.
      • Experience usingtechnology and portfolio management tools,including the ability to prepare reports, develop concept notes, analyze portfolio data in Excel, and work with systems such asSalesforce or similar platforms.
      • Proficient (written and verbal) in English.

LOCATION

This is one single position, which may be based inMéxico City, Colombia, or Guatemala.Candidates must already have the legal right to live and work in the country where they are located.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

  • Up to 25% of domestic and international travel

UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY

This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with the Global Director of Financial Institution Services, helping lead a global portfolio that works with banks, microfinance institutions, and other financial partners across Asia, Africa, and Latin America,particularly those focused on housing finance and MSME lending.

Based in Latin America and operating globally, the Associate Director will coordinate four regional portfolio leads and support the performance and evolution of financial partnerships across multiple continents.
