The European Association of Manufacturing Technologies (CECIMO) is looking for a Communications Intern, to join its Brussels-based team.

About the association:
CECIMO is the leading umbrella organisation representing the European manufacturing technology sector, driving innovation, sustainability and economic growth. CECIMO specialises in EU regulatory and policy issues, mainly in the fields of industrial policy, sustainability, digitalisation, research and innovation, skills and trade. We actively contribute to EU policy-making by participating in agenda setting, policy development and implementation. In addition, CECIMO addresses other relevant topics such as smart manufacturing, factory of the future, internet of things, big data, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and additive manufacturing. We organise high-profile industry events, publish key findings and engage with policymakers, researchers and companies to ensure that our sector remains at the forefront of innovation and progress.
We look for:
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Communications Intern to support the CECIMO Secretariat with day-to-day communication activities, event organisation and office coordination. The successful candidate should be eager to learn, well organised, detail-oriented and interested in EU affairs, industry and communications.
Key responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Communications Director, the intern will support the following activities:
- Support the planning and execution of communication campaigns related to policy outreach and sector promotion.
- Assist in drafting, editing and formatting communication materials, including website content, blog posts, social media posts, newsletters and press releases.
- Help produce digital content such as short videos, visuals and graphics for online channels.
- Support the management and development of the association’s social media channels and website.
- Support the organisation of events (planning, logistics, materials preparation, coordination with vendors and partners).
- Provide administrative and office support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Qualifications, skills and competences:
- University degree or current studies in communications, journalism, political science, EU studies, marketing or a related field.
- Strong interest in communications, digital media and EU or industrial policy.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English. Knowledge of French is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital communication tools.
- Familiarity with graphic design, photo or video editing tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Suite) is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of CMS systems (preferably WordPress), SEO or analytics tools is a plus but not required.
- Good command of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Creative mindset and practical problem-solving attitude.
