PRIMARY ROLE: The Manager, Field Advancement is responsible for building and driving adoption of the systems, tools, and standards that enable growth across the Parkinson’s Foundation field development and outreach teams. This role is focused on creating consistency, improving performance, and ensuring outreach efforts translate into measurable increases in partnerships, volunteer engagement, event participation, and revenue working closely with the AVP, Field Advancement, this role ensures outreach efforts align with chapter priorities and contribute to both mission reach and revenue growth.
This position does not directly manage field staff. It sets national standards, defines expectations, and drives accountability through tools, reporting, and visibility to leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Field Infrastructure and Adoption
- Build and manage tools, systems, and frameworks that support outreach across chapters
- Establish required standards for how outreach work is tracked, prioritized, and executed
- Drive adoption and consistent use of tools across regions
- Monitor usage and refine tools based on feedback and performance
- Identify gaps in adoption and address them through training, reinforcement, and leadership visibility
Community Partnership Strategy and Execution Support
- Develop frameworks to guide partnership development
- Provide guidance for engaging healthcare providers and community organizations
- Identify and scale high-value partnership models
- Define what constitutes a high-value partnership, including expected outcomes such as referrals, volunteer engagement, and revenue contribution
- Support chapters in prioritizing partnerships aligned with goals
Volunteer and Engagement Pipeline Development
- Build pathways from community connection to volunteer and participant engagement
- Develop tools to identify and activate volunteers
- Define clear expectations for how outreach activity contributes to volunteer, participant, and donor pipelines
- Ensure outreach contributes to volunteer pipelines and fundraising outcomes
Training and Field Enablement
- Design and deliver practical training for outreach staff
- Focus on partnerships, prioritization, and conversion to engagement
- Provide ongoing support to reinforce adoption
- Ensure training is directly tied to improving performance and driving consistent execution across regions
Cross-Functional Integration
- Partner with Advancement, marketing, and volunteer teams
- Ensure alignment and access to resources
- Strengthen integration between engagement, mission, and fundraising
- Align outreach tools and expectations with existing systems and workflows to reduce duplication and increase efficiency
Field Insights, Segmentation, and Performance
- Track and analyze outreach activity and outcomes
- Define and implement key performance metrics for outreach, including partnerships, volunteer conversion, and revenue contribution
- Shift to metrics such as partnerships, volunteers, and revenue contribution
- Identify differences in field maturity and tailor support
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership
- Use data to drive action, including identifying underperforming areas and recommending specific changes
Pilot Design and Scaling
- Design and test new engagement models
- Identify successful approaches and scale them
- Support initiatives like healthcare partnerships and ambassador programs
- Evaluate pilots based on measurable outcomes and scalability across multiple markets
SUCCESS MEASURES
- Adoption of tools and frameworks across regions
- Consistent use of defined outreach standards across chapters
- Growth in high-value community partnerships
- Increased volunteer engagement and pipeline development
- Contribution to event participation and revenue growth
- Improved consistency of outreach work across chapters
- Clear linkage between outreach activity and measurable outcomes (participants, volunteers, revenue)
- Successful scaling of engagement models
- Adoption of tools and frameworks across regions
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in community engagement, outreach, or nonprofit field operations
- Strong operational experience building systems and tools
- Demonstrated experience driving adoption of systems or frameworks across multiple teams or markets
- Experience influencing teams and leaders without direct authority
- Ability to translate strategy into practical frameworks
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Clear understanding of how engagement efforts contribute to revenue and participation growth
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates the organizational values of excellence, teamwork, collaboration, integrity, positivity, dedication and responsiveness.
- This requires 20% travel.
- Ability to travel as needed, with reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license. Air travel will be expected occasionally.
- Capacity to work evenings and weekends as needed, while adhering to core business hours.
PREFERRED
- Experience in healthcare or patient advocacy
- Experience with fundraising or peer-to-peer programs
- Experience building volunteer pipelines
COMPENSATION:
Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included. The salary range for this position is $65,000-$70,000.
