Position description

The Department of Government and Law at Lafayette College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in American Politics commencing July 1, 2026. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in political science or demonstrate the Ph.D. is near completion. The teaching load is six courses (normally three courses each semester), including Introduction to U.S. Politics and other intermediate and advanced courses in their areas of expertise. The Department especially welcomes applications from candidates who will contribute to Lafayette's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
