Position description
To strengthen our visibility and communication capacity at EU level, we are opening a Communication and Advocacy Junior Manager position. The role will mainly focus on supporting and coordinating All Digital’s communications work, while contributing to the visibility of our advocacy priorities and policy messages.
Your Role
As a Communication and Advocacy Junior Manager, you will support the Advocacy Manager in ensuring that All Digital’s communication activities are clear, consistent, timely, and aligned with our advocacy work.
You will be expected to take ownership of day-to-day communication tasks, with close guidance and supervision. This includes planning, drafting, coordinating, and publishing communication outputs across our channels.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing communication outputs: Draft and coordinate content for All Digital’s website, newsletters, social media channels, and other communication materials;
- Supporting advocacy communication: Help translate All Digital’s advocacy priorities, policy messages, and public positions into clear and engaging communication content;
- Developing visibility opportunities: Proactively identify relevant speaking opportunities, panels, conferences, events, media moments, and other visibility opportunities for the CEO and senior representatives, and support the preparation of talking points, background notes, and key messages;
- Strengthening social media presence: Plan and prepare social media content to promote All Digital’s activities, events, advocacy messages, members, and projects;
- Supporting campaigns and visibility actions: Contribute to communication campaigns around key events, policy moments, publications, and European-level initiatives;
- Preparing communication materials: Support the development of visuals, short texts, news items, event promotion materials, speaker highlights, and other communication assets;
- Supporting events communication: Help promote All Digital events before, during, and after they take place, including through live updates, follow-up posts, and visibility materials;
- Monitoring relevant developments: Follow relevant EU policy and digital inclusion discussions to help identify communication and visibility opportunities;
- Coordinating internally: Work with advocacy, events, projects, membership, and external partners to collect information and ensure communication outputs are accurate and aligned.
You will report to the Advocacy Manager, who will supervise your work closely and provide regular guidance. You will also work with colleagues across the team and receive input from senior leadership when relevant.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is motivated by communication, EU affairs, digital inclusion, and social impact;
- Has some relevant experience in communications, social media, EU affairs, public affairs, or a related field;
- Is comfortable drafting clear and engaging content in English for different audiences and channels;
- Is interested in understanding how communication can support advocacy and policy work;
- Is confident using social media and willing to take ownership of communication tasks;
- Is organised, proactive, reliable, and able to manage several tasks in parallel;
- Has a good eye for detail and is comfortable coordinating with different colleagues;
- Is a team player who thrives in a collaborative, multicultural environment and is eager to learn;
- Knowledge of EU institutions, digital inclusion, education policy, or civil society work is an asset.
