Senior Program Officer/Director, Global Nuclear Policy Program (GNPP)

NTI – a nonprofit, nonpartisan global security organization focused on reducing nuclear, biological, and emerging technology threats imperiling humanity – is seeking a Senior Program Officer or Director (title to be determined based on candidate experience) to join the Global Nuclear Policy Program (GNPP) team.

GNPP works to reduce nuclear risks arising from multipolar geopolitical rivalries, rapid technological change, a breakdown in diplomatic engagement, and weakening global institutions. Our team combines deep subject matter expertise, an unparalleled international network, and a practical approach to solving real world problems. We engage the full range of stakeholders and start the tough and detailed conversations governments aren’t having. Through dialogue and strategic partnerships with governments, experts, and leaders around the world, GNPP turns policy ideas into actionable solutions to reduce the risk of use of nuclear weapons.

This position reports to the Vice President for the Global Nuclear Policy Program. This is a full-time hybrid position, working a minimum of three days a week in our Washington, DC office.   

This selected candidate will support, coordinate, and implement GNPP efforts to reduce nuclear risks worldwide.  The candidate will play a leading role in shaping NTI’s analysis and policy development related to nuclear policy issues and help design and execute the organization’s nuclear policy-related outreach to Congress. This position will require some domestic and international travel. 

 

Hiring pay range: $127,300 - $172,000, dependent on hiring title and prior experience. This position is eligible for health insurance benefits, as well as other generous benefits that are part of the NTI compensation package.
