Visiting Assistant Professor - Political Science

Position description

Primary job duties include teaching six courses per academic year as well as advising and mentoring political science and international studies majors. This position requires a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, to maintaining an active research agenda, and to service and community outreach. This is a one-year appointment with opportunity for renewal.

Authority and Accountability
This position reports to the Chair of the Political Science Department and has no direct reports or budget authorization responsibility.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Ph. D. in Political Science (ABD near completion will be considered)
• Undergraduate teaching experience
• Demonstrated expertise in the comparative politics and international relations of the Middle East and North Africa
