Position description

The Politics and International Relations Subject Group at the University of Hertfordshire is looking to employ an outstanding candidate to provide excellent teaching and support to our diverse student body. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver an MA module on Social Science Research Methods as well as to teach undergraduate modules in International Relations and Security Studies as part of a dedicated, proactive and collegiate group of staff members. The Politics and International Relations Subject Group is based in the School of Humanities on the University's de Havilland campus in Hatfield in convenient commuting distance of, and with excellent transportation links to, London.

Skills and experience needed: 
You will have teaching experience in Politics & International Relations at HE level as well as a good working knowledge of the organisational, educational and communicative policies, practices, values and conventions of universities. You will demonstrate the ability to create excellent working relationships and to communicate effectively, clearly and supportively with both students and academic colleagues.

Qualifications required: 
You will hold an Honours degree in Politics & International Relations or a related Social Science field at undergraduate level, or equivalent as well as a Postgraduate qualification or a PhD (completed or no more than 3 months prior to viva date) in Politics & International Relations or a related Social Science field.
