Position description

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Program Analysis, Associate to work with a Federal Client in Washington, DC.

This position currently requires a hybrid schedule with 2 days on-site.  Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor current programs and identify gaps in refugee and Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) assistance and protection.
  • Develop and publish funding opportunities to solicit proposals from non-governmental organizations (NGOs), organize and participants on proposal review panels, craft funding recommendation memos for PRM’s Assistant Secretary, and ensure timely processing of approved funding actions including contributions to international organizations and cooperative agreements to NGOs.
  • Help Program Officers monitor project implementation via review of quarterly reports.
  • Track office funding to international organizations such as the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), other international organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
  • Prepare briefing materials by helping to collect and synthesize information on humanitarian situations and implementing partners’ protection and assistance programs.

Travel

Qualifications

  • 7+ years relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in management of Federal program
  • Demonstrated experience scheduling meetings, arranging conferences, and able to work within demanding rotational assignments
  • Expert knowledge of computer software such as Adobe, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Publisher)
  • Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • High caliber written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in time and resource management
  • Ability to analyze program data for use in evaluating proposals, negotiating award conditions, and monitoring recipient performance as well as preparing briefing materials
  • Knowledge of basic office management procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills
