  • Cultivating strong relationships with new and existing religion and foreign policy Outreach constituents through regular email correspondence and calls
  • Developing strategies for identifying new religion and foreign policy Outreach constituents
  • Maintaining a large database of contacts, including researching and compiling contact information for constituents, with the priority of expanding the program’s list
  • Coordinating the traditional, online, and social media marketing of CFR materials and publications to Outreach constituents and tracking the results—this includes placing print and online ads and developing the online content for the dedicated Outreach webpages, monthly and quarterly eNewsletters, and Twitter feeds
  • Tracking activities for Outreach efforts in calendars, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Providing general project support to the department, including attending and working at National Program and Outreach events held outside of business hours

  • Three or more years related program planning experience, including project management experience on issues related to religion and foreign policy
  • Master’s degree in a field related to religion and foreign policy with high academic achievement

  • Understanding of and interest in diverse faith traditions and religious communities in the United States and general current knowledge of international relations and U.S. foreign policy issues
  • Superior organizational and time management skills with an ability to effectively multi-task and meet deadlines; detail oriented with strong proofreading and editing skills; ability to turn thoughts into action
  • Enthusiastic team player with positive and flexible attitude, ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
