The Department of Political Science at Loyola Marymount University invites applications for a one-year visiting position in Research Methods (open subfield) at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning in the fall of 2017. The applicant will teach three undergraduate courses per semester (two course preparations per semester). The courses are two sections each semester of an introductory class in research methods (sophomore level), an upper-division quantitative advanced methods course (junior and senior level) in the Fall semester, and an upper division elective on a topic of the applicant’s choosing in the Spring semester (with a preference for candidate who can offer a course in comparative politics or international relations). We are seeking to hire a dedicated teacher and emerging scholar who will embrace the department’s mission of helping students become informed, analytically reflective, and engaged global citizens.
