This position is located in the Department of Labor, Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), Office of Child Labor, Forced Labor, and Human Trafficking (OCFT). ILAB's mission is to promote a fair global playing field for workers in the United States and around the world by enforcing trade commitments, strengthening labor standards, and combating international child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking. OCFT's outputs in the areas of policy engagement, technical assistance, and research and reporting contribute to the adoption, implementation, and enforcement of worker rights related to child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking.
If selected at the GS-12 level, you will have promotion potential to the GS-13. Promotion Potential: There is no obligation to provide future promotions to you if you are selected. Future promotions are dependent on your ability to perform the duties at a higher level, the continuing need for an employee assigned to the higher level, and supervisory approval.

Conditions of Employment
Applicants must meet time-in-grade, time-after-competitive-appointment and qualifications requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the vacancy to be eligible for consideration for selection. Reference the "Required Documents" section for additional requirements.
Degree: major or equivalent, or a combination of courses totaling at least 24 semester hours in international law and international relations, political science, economics, history, sociology, geography, social or cultural anthropology, law, statistics, or in the humanities; or 12 semester hours in one of the above disciplines and 12 semester hours in statistics/quantitative methods.
Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major, or a combination of related courses totaling at least 24 semester hours, in one or more of the social sciences, or in the humanities, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
Experience: four years of appropriate experience in one or more of the fields listed above in work associated with international organizations, problems, or other aspects of foreign affairs.
Specialized Experience Requirement
To qualify at the GS-12 level – Applicants must possess 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the federal service. Experience with performance evaluations and performance monitoring systems for international development or social service programs/projects.
To qualify at the GS-13 level – Applicants must possess 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the federal service. Experience with performance evaluations and performance monitoring systems for international development or social service programs/projects AND EITHER impact evaluations, project surveys OR government grants and contracts.
