The Intern contributes to them mission of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops by supporting the work of the Office of National Collections/Church in Latin America andPromotions. The intern will have opportunities to enrich his or her academic program or career preparation by supporting the work of the director of Church in Latin America, the assistantdirector for promotions and the CLA grants specialist. The intern may also support the Executive Director of the Office of National Collections, as needed. Activities may include but are not limited to doing research on specific Latin American(especially) and other countries served by other national collections, U. S. dioceses that have relationships with foreign parishes or dioceses, analyzing grant proposals, and providing logistical support for meeting and subcommittee members’ trips. The intern will also have opportunity to enrich his or her academic program or career preparation by summarizing and translating grants, and working to provide impact narratives of past and present grants of different national collections.
Main goal: Contributes to the Bishops’ strategic plan for the Conference. Demonstrates willingness and ability to understand, respect and contribute to the USCCB mission and to fulfill jobduties in accordance with its Catholic identity.
Educational Level: Bachelor’s degree required. Masters degree or working on one helpful and preferred
Major Field/Specialty: International Relations, Latin American Studies, Theology, International Development, or another related field. Some experience in marketing and/or social media would be helpful.
Language Requirement:Working fluency with Spanish is required.

Number of Years Required: 2 years’ minimum of work/experience in the Catholic Church and knowledge of international issues is required.
