The Global Initiatives Fellow assumes a critical role on the Penn Global team. Penn Global provides strategic direction for Penn’s global endeavors with a focus on efficient investment of university resources for global activities. Reporting to the Associate Director, the Global Initiatives Fellow will play a key role in the communication and outreach efforts of the office, including data collection, analysis and visualization; content collection, design and presentation; and website management. The Fellow will also play a lead role in the management of our social media platforms.
The Fellow will also be responsible for facilitating a number of projects in the global initiatives portfolio. Duties will include, but are not limited to, initiating and developing reports, briefings, and agendas; conducting research and analyses; and supporting events and activities. The Fellow will support the Global Initiatives staff as needed.
A Bachelor’s Degree required with 1 to 2 of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Interest in international relations, international education, and global programming as demonstrated through course of study and/or work experience is highly encouraged. Experience in a fast-paced office and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite; excellent customer service skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; interest in data analytics and website management strongly preferred; knowledge of Drupal strongly preferred; knowledge of Penn preferred.
