The positions are located in System Operations Services, ATO International, Europe, Africa, Middle-East Group, AJR-F100 and Asia Pacific Group, AJR-F200.
Serves as an International Programs Officer within the Air Traffic Organization, International Office. Responsible for the coordination of ATO international collaborations in operational, strategic and technical forums as needed. This activity includes event coordination, the development of meeting materials, coordination of FAA position papers, preparation of delegations including the development of executive travel packages, meeting facilitation, and the development and distribution of meeting minutes and actions.
Coordinates meetings between the Office of International Affairs (API), Office of the General Counsel (AGC), and concerning international activities, including the development and execution of bilateral and multilateral agreements.
Provides expert guidance and instruction both internally and externally to address diverse complex issues which often cross multiple projects, programs and/or functional areas. Develops and recommends approaches to address current and anticipated problems and issues. Works with senior management to identify and resolve problems.
Formulates and recommends to senior management positions on major projects/ policies/issues. Prepares, reviews, and recommends approvals of major reports on projects, programs and other work activities for internal and external distribution. Develops briefings to convey strategic vision and/or organizational policies to internal and external audiences.
Conditions of Employment
Applicants must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED experience equivalent to the next lower grade/pay band (FG/GS-13/FV-I) in the Federal government. Specialized experience is defined as that which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is typically in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled.
