SystemOne seeks a data and commercial sales consultant to lead business development and strategic initiatives to achieve financial goals by engaging corporate, for-profit actors in Global Health.

Main functions:

Work closely with the Global Health Team Leader and senior management to develop and execute strategies to engage corporate, for-profit actors in Global Health, primarily those in the infectious disease diagnostic and pharmaceutical markets . The end goal is to create a robust revenue stream that is not donor-dependent.

Frequent international travel; up to 50% time

Duration:

6 months at 50% time, but could turn into a full time position

Responsibilities

  1. Sell SystemOne products, data derived products or data to TB and HIV diagnostic device manufacturers

    1. Establish relationships with current leaders/decision makers at device manufacturers that already have “connectable” products, eg. Cephied, Abbott, Roche, BD, Hain

    2. Establish relationships with current leaders/decision makers at device manufacturers that have products coming to market in the next 0-2 years, eg. QuantumDx, Molbio, Fio

    3. Develop viable workplans that could ultimately generate mutually beneficial financial/contractual relationships with the actors listed above.

    4. Execute against-- or assist in recruitment and hiring a permanent hire to execute against the workplans developed.  

  2. Responsibly monetizing data derived from S1 products to relevant TB and HIV pharmaceutical manufacturers

    1. Establish relationships with current leaders/decision makers at pharma ie) J&J, Sanofi, GSK

    2. Develop viable workplans that could ultimately generate mutually beneficial financial/contractual relationships with the actors listed above.

    3. Execute against-- or assist in recruitment and hiring a permanent hire to execute against the workplans developed.  

  3. Gain industry feedback on critical S1 sales and sustainability issues, including, but not limited to:

    1. Penetration into our priority countries and how it relates to successful completion of #1 and #2 (ie, if we can sell reports to data companies or pharma, can we give connectivity away for free?)

    2. Madhu and STBP Project X strategy (or lack thereof) and how we can ensure inclusion.

    3. Necessary (or not) changes in pricing, structure, etc.

    4. Funder-driven KPIs for device manufacturers

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of corporate individuals and networks making significant contributions in the global health market

  • Established networks and relationships with key actors relevant to big data, diagnostics and/or pharma.

Experience Required

  • Advanced degree with a minimum of 15 years relevant marketing, account and sales management experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare/medical industry. 

  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical and/or diagnostics industry. 

  • Experience in big data

  • Previous experience at the senior management level in relevant industry.
