WeWork is looking for a Business Visa Specialist to join the Global Mobility team. This position is based in New York and will report to the Lead, Mobility Programs. About the Role
The Business Visa Specialist will play a vital role in guiding our employees through the application process, driving customer satisfaction and supporting the company with global expansion while focusing on compliance.
As the Business Visa Specialist, your expectations and tasks will include (but will not be limited to):
Work closely with WeWork employees around the world when planning cross-border business travel to ensure that immigration requirements are met.
Administer the business visa program responsible for providing company business travelers with end-to-end support throughout the business visa application process.
Intake and respond to all day-to-day business visa inquiries.
Coordinate the preparation and delivery of company issued visa application supporting documents in a timely matter and in collaboration with the applicant, regional team leads, project and event managers, Consular officials, and other internal and external points of contact.
Create, manage and update all Business Visa reference information on the Global Mobility intranet site as directed.
Continuously identify and develop specific knowledge related to Business Travel Compliance topics and share best practices with the team and all relevant stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to continuously improve operational processes and procedures.
May assist with maintaining the data integrity of all Global Mobility and People systems and tools.
May support the Global Mobility team with the technical troubleshooting of all enterprise systems and tools.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education, and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, international relations, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Highly desirable: experience in a high-growth organization, travel, hospitality, or embassy/consulate relations.
Highly desirable: fluency in a second language.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills: clear written and verbal communication with demonstrated understanding of communication methods and styles; articulate clearly and concisely in a professional and hospitable manner without jargon or complicated language.
Excellent organizational and time management skills: adhere to deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances; handle high volume while maintaining excellent attention to detail; monitor own work and self-edit.
Proficiency with enterprise applications and aptitude for learning new programs.
Strong data integrity management and data analytical skills.
Ability to problem solve; analyze information and apply expertise and provide solutions.
Able to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize work accordingly.
Self-starter with desire to show ownership and commitment to the role.
Willing to learn and assist with other ad-hoc projects as necessary.
Tenacity; willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the work done.
Ability to work flexible hours.
