Position description

The International Learning Solutions Associate will be a critical member of the Education Division and ACC’s International Strategy, responsible for providing support with faculty management, abstracts, and other activities associated with the planning and execution of ACC International Conferences and International Grants.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide faculty management support including managing the planning committee and faculty invitation process and liaising with faculty on necessary responsibilities.

  • Coordinate the abstract submission process by creating the abstract submission instructions and policies and procedures, inviting abstract reviewers, marketing the abstract site, coordinating the review of abstracts, and managing the accepted abstract presenters both pre-conference and onsite.

  • Assist with facilitating internal team meetings and planning committee and faculty meetings including development of agendas and meeting minutes to share with relevant stakeholders.

  • Ensure milestone are reached according to conference and grant timelines.

  • Assist in monitoring conference and grant expenses and provide recommendations.

  • Work with internal stakeholders across multiple divisions (international, marketing & creative, communications, assessment and outcomes, etc.) and departments to ensure successful execution of conferences and grants.

  • Assist in the development of onsite conference materials such as syllabus development, session scripts, walk-in slides, etc.

  • Provide onsite support for faculty and abstract presenters and assist, as needed, with other logistics.

  • Work with Team Lead of Learning Innovations in the development and execution of the International Grants.

  • Liaise with the International Business Development Team to review and prioritize opportunities.

  • Collaborate with the Learner Acquisition team to manage web copy content development as well as liaise with external partners and conference organizers on external website copy.

  • Manage the registration and reporting liaising with external partners and conference organizers when applicable.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, International Affairs, or related subject.

  • 2 + years of education development/execution experience; must have had responsibility for delivering educational activities from the idea stage through development, implementation and evaluation.

  • Dedication to member service and ability to work well in a team environment with clinicians, executives, contractors, consultants, and other staff.

  • Experience in managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity in the performance of assigned tasks.

  • Available for travel to support job responsibilities.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with healthcare education in a non-profit environment.

  • Experience delivering/executing International Education.

  • Experience working with International faculty.

  • Fluent in a second language is a plus.
