Summerfuel is seeking graduate students, faculty, secondary school teachers and professionals to teach small classes of motivated high school students. Ideal candidates should have extensive teaching experience, a zest for opening young minds to new fields of study, and a talent for teaching in an interactive classroom with a give-and-take pedagogical style.
The Summerfuel program at UC Berkeley attracts students from all over the world. All Summerfuel students participate in two enrichment courses – one offered in the morning (9:30 am – 11:45 am) and a second in the afternoon (4:00 – 6:00 pm). Teaching a Summerfuel course is an excellent opportunity for professors, high school teachers, graduate students or professionals who enjoy working with young, curious students.
