About Moeve:
Moeve is a century-old Spanish energy company undergoing a radical transformation from a traditional oil and chemicals business to a European leader in green molecules. Guided by its Positive Motion 2030 strategy, Moeve is investing up to €8 billion to accelerate the energy transition through renewable hydrogen, second-generation biofuels, biomethane, ultra-fast electric charging, and sustainable chemicals.
Its EU Affairs office works with EU institutions, stakeholders and networks, engaging in EU energy, and climate-related policies. To support its work, it is looking for an intern, based in Brussels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory & Policy Monitoring:
- Track EU legislative and regulatory developments in areas relevant to Moeve;
- Summarise and alert teams to important policy changes.
- Drafting & Analysis:
- Prepare concise policy briefs, regulatory alerts, and internal memos for non-expert audiences;
- Draft backgrounders, position materials, consultation responses, and briefing notes.
- Engagement & Public Affairs Support:
- Assist in planning and managing meetings with EU stakeholders, including representatives from institutions, interest groups, and networks;
- Take minutes during internal/external events and workshops; follow up on action items;
- Help design and implement outreach programmes with policymakers.
Candidate Profile:
- Education & Knowledge:
- Master Degree in EU Affairs, Political Science, European Law, International Relations, or related fields;
- Strong interest in EU policymaking and understanding of EU institutions, energy, and climate policies.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent research skills, attention to detail, and ability to distil complex information;
- Native Spanish or equivalent; excellent written and oral English. Other EU languages are a plus;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (e.g. Teams, SharePoint).
- Attributes:
- Proactive, well-organised, and reliable; demonstrates initiative and autonomy;
- Analytical mindset with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Right to live in Brussels.
What We Offer:
- A min. 6 months contract through ‘Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle’, with a net allowance of €1,500;
