The Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) is seeking a Senior Policy Counsel, who will work with ICCR senior leadership to provide the organization and its members with legal advice, and will coordinate the organization’s legal strategies related to policy and corporate accountability.

Responsibilities
The Senior Policy Counsel will be responsible for providing timely, coordinated, and thoughtful legal advice to the organization, enhancing its ability to achieve its charitable mission and goals. The Senior Policy Counsel will engage with networks of pro bono attorneys to assist ICCR members in finding pro bono and low bono legal assistance in response to on-going legal attacks related to responsible investment and shareholder engagement. The Senior Policy Counsel will also work with ICCR’s policy and program teams, and with networks of attorneys and allied organizations to coordinate ICCR’s legal strategies related to policy and corporate accountability. The Senior Policy Counsel will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
The ideal candidate is an experienced litigator with an ability to think strategically and creatively. Experience in securities law or corporate governance is a strong plus, as is interest and/or experience in environmental law, administrative law, consumer protection, and Constitutional law. The ideal candidate will also have excellent research, writing, analytical, and public speaking skills.

Salary and Benefits
The starting salary for this role will be up to $175,000 per year depending on experience. This role is full-time and includes generous benefits, including 80% health insurance (individual or with dependents), 11% pension contribution after 6 months, paid dental/vision/life/short- and long-term disability insurance, remote work stipend, and extensive time off (including vacation, sick time, personal days, 13 paid holidays, and organizational time off around July 4th and end of year). Professional development will be provided as appropriate.
