Duration: 1-year contract with option for extension [CDD]
Reports to: Head of Innovation

Are you passionate about shaping the future of research and innovation? Do you want to play a pivotal role in advancing the wind industry across Europe and beyond? As a Project Officer in our Innovation team, you’ll help to shape the future of the wind industry. Your work will directly influence the strategies and decisions shaping Europe's energy transition whilst redefining how the EU funds wind energy research and innovation, shape communications on EU and national funding and support members in accessing the funds they need.

WindEurope is the voice of the wind industry, actively promoting wind energy across Europe. We represent over 600 members from across the whole value chain of wind energy, including wind turbine manufacturers, component suppliers, power utilities and wind farm developers, financial institutions, research institutes and national wind energy associations. All of this supported by a secretariat of 85 professionals based in Brussels.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead EU funded project proposals by acting as overall coordinator to form winning consortia;
  • Contribute and collaborate effectively in the operational activities of ongoing projects;
  • Monitor the EU and national funding opportunities for wind energy;
  • Create and deliver impactful communication activities on funding instruments for the wind energy sector;
  • Be a liaison for WindEurope members regarding EU and national funding opportunities.

Experience

  • At least 2 years professional experience in project management, consultancy or business development;
  • Demonstrable experience with grant or proposal writing.

Software

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word);
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Languages

  • Excellent level of English (written and spoken);
  • Other European languages are a plus.
