Function
We are seeking a driven, creative, and proactive campaigner to join our Brussels-based secretariat. This new role bridges public policy and strategic communications, and will play a central part in delivering a flagship campaign in the 2025–2027 period. The goal? To secure and deepen Europe’s industrial leadership in e-mobility and ensure that the EV charging sector remains a key driver of the global transition to clean tech. This is an exciting opportunity to shape impactful narratives, deepen engagement with policymakers and stakeholders, and build and coordinate a coalition working toward a common vision for Europe’s sustainable transport future.
Key responsibilities
1. Advocacy:
- Deepen relationships with key EU policymakers, national representations, and other relevant stakeholders;
- Prepare briefings and talking points tailored for different audiences, together with the policy and communications teams;
- Report on and analyze EU policy developments relevant to the campaign.
2. Communications & outreach:
- Proactively identify new data, narratives, angles, coming from media or other sources, that can be included into campaign narratives or that we need to respond to;
- Help develop and support dissemination of campaign communications via relevant channels, including social media content;
- Plan and execute campaign events.
3. Coalition building & partnerships:
- Closely liaise with coalitions partners to coordinate actions and share intelligence, ensuring synergies are built across organisations sharing the same objectives, and that we are communicating in a coordinated manner, for maximum impact;
- Identify potential additional coalition partners to approach for joint initiatives.
4. Campaign steer and execution:
- Ensure timelines, deliverables, and campaign milestones are met;
- Monitor progress and propose adjustments or new campaign initiatives to maximise impact.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a motivated, proactive, individual with a blend of skills in campaigning, policy, and communication.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in policy advocacy, public affairs, campaigning, or strategic communications – ideally in a European or international context;
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences;
- Proficiency in research, analysis, and content development, including the ability to translate complex data or policy into compelling narratives and clear messaging;
- Experience in coalition-building, stakeholder engagement, and maintaining productive partnerships across diverse organisations;
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and timelines;
- A self-starter attitude with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team; wants to take ‘ownership’ of this portfolio and drive its success;
- Creative thinking and political intuition, with a flair for identifying opportunities;
- Familiarity with EU institutions and policymaking;
- Bonus points for: Knowledge of e-mobility, clean tech, or broader climate policy ecosystem; language skills (esp. German or Polish).
